'WWE 2K15' Roster Rumors: Fake Roster Surfaces Online, 2K Games to Roll Out Real Roster August 16

With the official roster for the professional wrestling video game 'WWE 2K15' drawing near, a fraudulent roster has been leaked on the Internet, deceiving fans of the series.

The supposed list of wrestlers in the forthcoming 'WWE 2K15' game is bogus, a poster on GameFAQs said that an exposition from Game Informer magazine's August edition would publish the entire 'WWE 2K15' roster. However, this post was removed afterwards, because it was deemed as fake.

According to DualShockers, the few names that leaked off the fake roster will most likely not be in the upcoming game. For example, CM Punk was listed in the post as someone who would be featured. While there have been no official announcements, interviews with the wrestler hint that WWE is no longer part of his life. This means fans will probably not get the chance to play as him in the new 'WWE 2K15' title.

Another wrestler on the fraudulent list was WWE legend Mick Foley, or Mankind. A recent interview with the former star said that he would not be signing a deal for the game as he did not want to receive the lower pay rate that was offered. However, other reports say that the wrestler did sign the deal, after the interview, so fans might just see WWE's Mankind in the upcoming title.

The phony roster was also noted to be missing some of the names on the actual WWE roster. For instance, names like Adam Rose, Justin Gabriel and Ryback, who currently wrestle on TV, were not listed.

However, according to Bleacher Report, the confirmed roster so far includes the following superstars:

  • Cesaro
  • Bray Wyatt
  • Hulk Hogan
  • John Cena
  • Roman Reigns
  • Sting
  • Sting (retro version)

Meanwhile, as per its earlier announcement, 2K Games will be officially releasing its roster for' WWE 2K15' on August 16.
