WrestleMania 31 Rumors 2014: John Cena vs Hulk Hogan, The Rock Returns - WWE Friday Night SmackDown

Rumor has it that WWE legend Hulk Hogan will be stepping into the ring against John Cena in what's supposed to be the match of a lifetime, while Dwayne The Rock Johnson will be stepping out of retirement and getting back into the ring himself.

According to a report by Dave Meltzer, an insider from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the veteran wrestler hasn't lost his touch just yet, as Hulk Hogan will be culminating his wrestling career and stepping into the ring one last time with John Cena.

"Hulk Hogan has pushed for a match with Cena," Meltzer stated.

"If he's willing, and can pass the physical, they could do a retirement match. Hogan hasn't wrestled at a WrestleMania since 2003 and will be almost 61 at match time, so if he can't do it this year, that should be it," Meltzer continued.

Bleacher Report stated that both Hogan and Cena are great performers in the ring, citing Cena as a "terrific talker" and Hogan as "still one of the most vibrant and charismatic personalities" in the ring.

However, there are still several risks for Hogan if the dream match actually happens.

Hogan's health and age are undoubtedly the major factors at play here in regards to the Cena match. At 61, Hogan might not perform as well in the ring as he did in his prime.

Having an all-out match may pose a serious injury risk to the veteran wrestler, while playing it safe might undermine the entertainment value of the match.

Meanwhile, Dwayne The Rock Johnson is rumored to return to Wrestle Mania 31 after a stint with Triple H during the 15th anniversary show of Friday Night SmackDown.

The Rock even posted a tweet teasing about the possible match.

"@WWE @ TripleH I'd still whup your candy a** at WrestleMania. #CheapB---ard (Had fun w/ ya homeboy;)"
