World Cup 2014 Start Date, Groups, Squads, Matches, How to Buy Tickets: Squads for National Teams Announced

With barely one month to go until the tournament kicks off, participating World Cup national teams have named provisional squads that they will take to Brazil 2014, which is scheduled to start on June 12, 2014.

Thirty-two teams composed of eight groups will be playing in the group stages of the tournament, with each vying for a position in the Final 16.

The eight groups will each contain four teams each, with each team in those groups playing one another once - thereby giving each team a guaranteed three group games before they are either eliminated from the tournament or qualify for the Final 16 Round, which is where the knock out football will commence.

For a team to qualify for the knock out stages, the teams must claim one of the top two positions in their group of four - meaning in each group two teams will progress, with the bottom two teams heading home.

Representing countries have already announced their respective 30-man squads and lineups for the tournament, and most have a reserve list of players should they wish to change any of the team between now and when the final squads are to be named - due to such things as injury.

Teams will undergo a series of warm up games between now and the start of the tournament, and team coaches and managers will be testing out their various players to see who will make their starting 11s.
