Recently the wireless carrier Verizon teased that the device that everyone has been waiting for is finally coming to its network.

The Nexus 6 by Google is scheduled to be released to the market on February 26th of this year and supposedly will be the same model that is carried by other providers, according to information from website, Demanjo.

As teasers have proclaimed it was coming, smartphone carriers have been anxiously awaiting its arrival.

Verizon's version of the N6 will most likely be identical to the ones on the Play Store and other cell phone characters, especially in terms of hardware functionality.

It will also have a Verizon CDMA-LTE compatible radio and of course it will have Verizon's signature red V on it.

Though there has yet to be a definitive date put forth for when Verizon will actually be releasing the N6, it's very clear that Verizon is making preparations for the device.

In an advertisement for the upcoming smartphone, Verizon's website now features a banner that advertises the Nexus 6 as "coming soon."

This indicates that the release may just be right around the corner which is great news for Verizon's many customers who have been waiting with anticipation.

Android 5.0 Lollipop will by the operating system for this smartphone.

According to specs, the Nexus 6 features an ultra-sharp 5.9-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad HD display with a pixel density of 493 pixels per inch. It will have a 13MP camera which will be able to take both photos and videos, 2MP front facing camera (great for selfies) a 3,220 mAh battery, WiFi as well as bluetooth.

One of the downfalls which might leave customers saddened, is that unfortunately there is no microSD card slot anywhere on the device so you have to live with either 32GB or 64GB of storage depending on which model you choose.

The phone will retail at $649 or $699 depending on the model. However, with a contract, it will most likely have a ticket price of $299.

In addition, Verizon will also be adding to its line of phones the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime and the DROID Turbo.
