'Uncharted 5' Release Date News & Update: Naughty Dog Announces Release Details And Story Line, Game Features New Lead?

New details on the release date and story line of Naughty Dog's "Uncharted 5" have surfaced.

The release date of "Uncharted 5" is still unknown for the time being, according to Game N Guide. As per the publication, while Naughty Dog labeled "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" as the final installment of the game franchise, developer Neil Druckmann might have an opposing thought about the game.

In April, Druckmann told Games Radar that "Uncharted" could easily stretch its legacy without the studio. He said that if new developers had made a great game, he would be excited. He mentioned that he would want to play an "Uncharted" game he had not worked on, adding that it would be a lot of fun.

Druckmann also said that obviously, they would have a big part in it as the creators of the franchise, adding that they would just want to make sure that the new developers got the essence of the game right.

At the moment, "Uncharted 5's" story plot still lacks lucidity, according to NSEA Voice. As per the publication while the current "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" may still be efficient for players, the said sequel may actually perform well for the franchise's entirety.

According to Christian Times, "Uncharted 5" might no longer follow Nathan Drake, the game's treasure hunter protagonist, who travels the world and unveils different historical mysteries. As per the publication, the new character is assumed to embark a new mission, though it is still contained within the universe of the former "Uncharted" games.

Meanwhile, Naughty Dog's "Uncharted 4" was initially released for the PlayStation 4 on May 10.
