'True Detective' Season 3 Cast News, Rumors: Olivia Munn Posts Photo On Her Instagram, Hints Fun Casting?

"True Detective" season 3 is coming, although it won't likely debut until next year.

The HBO series slightly fell out of favor after the second season as many of its fans got disappointed with the direction that the show has taken. The second season starred Rachel McAdams, Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn and Taylor Kitsch, and received generally negative reviews.

Despite the popularity drop of "True Detective" season 2, fans of the series have continued creating and spreading speculations and rumors about the next season, including the stars who could potentially be in it as well as the new twist that it would take.

Just recently, actress Olivia Munn posted a photo on her Instagram account and captioned it "True Detective season three." The photo, which included Jason Bateman, Abby Lee, Jillian Bell and T.J. Miller, made an impression that the actress was trying to hint at the possibility of a fun casting for season 3.

The image bore the hashtag #officechristmasparty and featured the group while hanging out on a staircase.

While Olivia Munn has not confirmed yet that she will be joining the next season, many are positive that she will appear in the new episodes of season 3.

In other news, Jon Hamm denied being a part of the show last December after he won an Emmy for "Mad Men," but rumors about his appearance in "True Detective" season 3 continue to surface. Also, actors Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Gosling, James Franco and Cara Deleyingne, who were all included in a fan-made video of a proposed cast for season 3, neither confirmed nor denied being involved in the next season.
