Fans have been left wondering about the final season of "True Blood" and about the confirmed death of a major character during the vampire attack on the town.

TV Guide reported that Season 7 will contain a brutal and gory attack by the Hep-V vampires against the town. Spoilers have revealed that this will spark a war or conflict that results in the loss of a primary character. It is unknown yet which character will be killed off in the Hep-V vampire attack on Bon Temps.

Alexander Skarsgard provided some insight on the location of Eric. Many inquiries were posed by fans due to Eric's lack of appearance in the Season 7 trailer. "He's surrounded by a lot of wet snow. That might give you a hint. The environment of northern Sweden helps him quite a bit" Skarsgard told TV Guide.

The character will probably resurface during the season's second episode, where it is proposed that Pam will continue her search for him. Some speculate that the episode's title, "I Found You," provides fans with clues that pertain to the fate of the two vampires. The final scene containing Eric in the previous season depicted him burning into flames under the sun, many believed he would never return.

Alan Ball, the show's creator stated that final season will reintroduce the original premise of the series.

"True Blood" season 7 will air on Sunday night, June 22 at 9pm on HBO.
