Transformers 5 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: What to Expect in Next Movie

After Micheal Bay's Transformers 4: Age of Extinction box office success, hitting $100 million during the first week of its US release, Paramount's scheduled addition to the franchise a "Transformers 5" hopes to match those numbers when it releases in 2016.

Even though Transformers 4: Age of Extinction did not receive much praise from movie critics, the production company is still firm on their decision to make another installment. However, one of its producers, Lorenzo do Bonaventura said it is untimely for make such announcements.

"It's an exhausting process to make these movies. The scale of them is so enormous. It really does tax everybody and our tendency is to finish one at a time, recover, and then begin talking," Bonaventura told Screenrant.

There is speculation that Michael Bay would quit when it comes to directing the sequel, but, according to Filmschoolrejects, the director will return only if "Paramount lets him do another 'small' movie, a la 'Pain & Gain,' beforehand."

There are rumors circulating about the plot of the sequel. It is said that it will continue from the cliff-hanger ending where Optimus Prime went on a journey to search for "the Creators." This could mean that the next installation could introduce the mastermind behind the genius of the Transformers' species.

Inquistr suggests that they will also show the world of Cybertron and will probably feature Optimus Prime confronting Unicron as well.

Unicron is the ultimate transformer that can transform into a mechanical planet that can engulf other planets. He is assisted by the Decepticons but he is not considered a Decepticon himself.

Mark Wahlberg is also reported to be back on the next sequel.
