Tom Clancy's 'The Division' Game Release Date 2015: Three Studios Engaged to Develop Upcoming Game

Although Tom Clancy's 'The Division' will be released sometime in 2015, there is a lot of speculation and rumors floating around already. This particular online multiplayer only third-person shooter video game developed by three studios - Ubisoft Massive, Ubisoft Reflections and Ubisoft Red Storm will be launched on Microsoft Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

A recent report by The VC says that a developer for the Xbox One named Justin Robey recently posted a comment on 'The Division', saying, "Saw 'The Division' running on Xbox One. Jaw dropping gorgeous. Steam and environments were unreal. Gameplay also looked to be solid. Sold!"

Recently, executive producer of upcoming 'Tom Clancy's The Division' Fredrik Rundqvist also shared some information regarding the game.

Rundqvist said, "It's an open world RPG game that takes place in New York City, that's been ravaged by a pandemic," adding, "The city has almost been lost to the chaos, to disaster, to lawless areas, with all these dangerous factions running around - and your job as an agent of the Division is to take that back."

In an interview with IGN, Rundqvist said, "We have a very lively and dynamic world."

He went on to elaborate, "You need a world that is interesting in itself even when the player is not doing anything. Dynamic climatology, day-night, wildlife and civilians complete cycle, and different archetypes within each faction. All these systems interact with each other and react accordingly."

'The Division' executive producer Rundqvist further stated that he and his team watched the 'I Am Legend' film more than ten times, in all probability to get a feeling for an abandoned Manhattan.

In fact, there hasn't been a new game based on Tom Clancy for quite sometime since the 'Splinter Cell' franchise died down. Ubisoft is developing the upcoming game solely for the next-gen consoles and Microsoft Windows making use of the Snowdrop engine. The new game will feature an unparalleled realistic depiction of New York City.

On a side note, 'The Division' was unveiled in a demo at Gamescom, but not to the general public.
