"With Season 2 now finished and Season 3 set for 2016, the anticipation for the game has only grown higher," the CEO added. The news brought such joy to the followers, however though, some critics might have to watch the upcoming season really closely, notes HNGN.

According to the website, they were not so happy about how the first 2 seasons turned out. Enthusiasts were happy about the first season while quite disappointed when the second season called as "Tokyo Ghoul Root A" was compeletely different from the original manga storyline.

Season 3 will religiously adapt the manga, there will be a slight problem because "Tokyo Ghoul:re" has only reached Chapter 43 so far. The anime series might "opt for a subtle reboot."
