Being a father can really change a man, and Todd Smith has undergone the shift five times over. Now, the Christian recording artist is giving tribute to all dads out there with his latest anthem, "Calling All Fathers."

The song, co-written by Todd Smith and Ed Cash ("Since the World Began"), is a cut from his new album, "Curb." Smith found inspiration for the track by being a dad to five precious daughters.

He said that they penned the song to issue a challenge to fathers around the world to step up and be the role model and agent of change for their children.

"I don't always know what to do or feel like I measure up as a father, but God gave me this responsibility, and He will equip me," he said. "We need to be fathers willing to put ourselves between our families and the dangers of this world."

"As men, we can be driven by fear to succeed, distracted from being engaged with our kids and truly leading and teaching them right from wrong," he added.

Todd Smith also recounted that he wrote "Calling All Fathers" with Ed Cash last summer after seeing all the strife in the news that threatens to tear the country apart.

The Christian artist noted, "The state of our country made me wonder, 'Where are the men- the leaders?' If we men will stand up, committed to believing in the Word of God, confessing our sin, humbling ourselves and walking with authority in Jesus, what a witness that will be in our community-and world-and what an impact it will have on our families."
