For Today to Release 4-Song EP, “Prevailer” w/ Live Concert DVD

Fans of Christian metalcore band For Today have another reason to be excited! They just announced they'll be releasing a new EP, Prevailer, with four new songs, one acoustic track, and a DVD of live concert footage as well as a documentary of the band's history.

The metalcore band out of Sioux City, Iowa formed in 2005 and have been on the rise ever since.  For Today has since released one EP and three full-length albums: Your Moment, Your Life, Your Time EP (Self-Released 2006), Ekklesia (Facedown Records, 2008), Portraits (Facedown Records, 2009), Breaker (Facedown Records, 2010), and Immortal (Razor & Tie, 20012).

The band has played over 1000 concerts spanning across 5 continents. For Today has toured with Devil Wears Prada, We Came As Romans, Winds of Plague and Emmure. In 2010, For Today headlined the Scream The Prayer Tour with Maylene and The Sons of Disaster. The band has sold well over 65,000 albums

For Today have earned a reputation as one of metal's most technically proficient bands. The band consists of: Mattie Montgomery (lead vocals), Ryan Leitru (lead guitar, vocals), Brandon Leitru (bass), Michael Reynolds (rhythm guitar), and David Morrison (drums, percussion).

Shawn Keith of Sumerian Entertainment manages the band while Matt Andersen of The Pantheon Agency represents touring.

In 2012 the band signed with Razor & Tie records and publishing. Based in New York City, Razor & Tie is one of the fastest growing independent record companies in the United States, and has garnered both Platinum sales and Grammy awards in its 20-year history.
