'Thor 3' Movie Release Date Rumors, Cast and Plot Spoilers: Loki and New Villain Unleash Ragnarok
In latest 'Thor 3' news, details surrounding the "Norse God of Thunder" and his upcoming battle against his arch nemesis Loki (and his new mystery ally) was recently leaked online.
"Essentially, 'Thor 3 Ragnarok' sees Loki and the Fire demon Surtur march on Asgard. Thor manages to fight them off, but loses his famous hammer Mjolnir. Once he has dealt with the fire demon and his brother, however, he does not hesitate in dealing him once and for all - Thor rips his brother's head off," said an anonymous source, according to a report by the Inquisitr.
The report also claims that Thor goes missing-in-action after the protagonist rejected his father Odin's offer to rule Asgard in the previous 'Thor: The Dark World' film.
However, Thor did not realize that he actually handed his father's throne over to his evil adopted brother Loki (aka the Trickster Norse God), when the cunning adversary shaped-shifted into Odin (the chief deity in Norse mythology) at the end of last year's film.
There are rumors that say the 'Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith' actress, Natalie Portman, will not reprise her role as Thor's love interest (Dr. Jane Foster) in the upcoming movie.
Previously, actor Chris Hemsworth revealed his thoughts on his popular character and the future Thor film.
"I think what's good about this is that each time, with the Avengers, we sort of made it difficult to separate them each time there's some sort of conflict it's like where's the rest of the team? And I liked that Thor has another universe or the universe to sort of take care of and keep him occupied," said Hemsworth, according to Screenrant report.
"I think that in the comic book the sort of end of days, Armageddon aspect is probably the direction in which it will all head in. Where it's sort of the end of all things and there's obviously no script or anything when I read the comic books I thought it was an interesting way to go."
'Thor 3' is expected to be released in movie theaters in 2017, however the official release has not yet been unveiled.
