'The Revenant' Review, News: Hugh Glass Fights For Survival After Attacked By Bear [TRAILER]

The film, "The Revenant," headlines all films in the Oscars with 12 nominations in total. The film directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu is a very competitive entry in the awards night and has a high chance of winning most of the awards.

This may also be "The One" for Leonardo DiCaprio. After failing to win an Oscar with movies such as "The Wolf of Wall Street," "Inception" and "The Great Gatsby," this movie would showcase the extreme acting prowess of DiCaprio.

"The Revenant" is nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor in a Leading Role, Actor in a Supporting Role, Cinematography, Costume Design, Directing, Film Editing, Make up and Hair Styling, Production Design, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing and Visual Effects.

"Mad Max: Fury Road" is not far behind with nine nominations. The movie is no push over. The film directed by George Miller may be the best rival for "The Revenant" this year at the Oscars. "Big Short," directed by Adam McKay, may also steal a couple of awards since it has been getting a lot of praises from the media.

"The Revenant" is starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy. The story is written by Mark L. Smith, Alejandro G. Iñárritu and Michael Punke. It is about Hugh Glass, a frontiersman on a fur trading expedition in the 1820's. He fights for survival after being attacked by a bear and left for dead by his hunting team. The movie focuses on his struggle at survival and also on his journey as he seeks his revenge.
