'The Real Housewives of New York City’ Season 7 Cast News: Reprisal & Replacements

Producers for 'The Real Housewives of New York City' Season 7 plan to mix up the cast this time around to boost the show's ratings.

The reality show dropped from 2 million regular viewers to 1.3 million which prompted Bravo TV to make some changes. However, one thing they intend to keep the same is the show's host, Andy Cohen.

Beyond that, rumors mention that some of the show's cast may be getting the boot and have to be replaced.

"Carole is also safe. She is a dear friend of Andy's and has formed a genuine friendship with Heather Thomson. This is what the show is looking for...They want genuine relationships and drama, and want to stay away from anything the ladies 'stage' to make good TV-such as throwing an artificial leg."

Meanwhile, Avida Drescher, linked with the artificial leg throwing incident, may be fired. A Bravo TV network executive stated, "It is the end of the road for Aviva. She has not been told anything officially, but has been told if she wants to start looking for other TV opportunities, it is fine with Bravo."

On the other hand, Ramona Singer, one of the original members of the show, may return for its new season, but only if she agrees to the terms set by Bravo.

"Ramona is the heart of the show and will be welcomed back if she agrees that her marriage troubles be part of her deal. At the reunion, Ramona shut down any questions of her doomed marriage. She will not be able to do that if she returns", Singer's friend said to NY Daily News Confidential.

Sonja Morgan, another 'Real Housewives of New York City' veteran, will likely be back, "There is no show without Ramona and Sonja. Sonja is the funny sex pot, and Ramona's the one who throws glasses."

'The Real Housewives of New York City' Season 7 premiere date has not been confirmed by Bravo TV yet, but the show will probably air between April and June 2015.
