The Originals' debut season ended with a bang with Phoebe Tonkin's transformation into a hybrid after being killed by the witches.  In Season 2, the biggest question might be, how is Phoebe going to handle her new-mom experience now that she is a hybrid? 

The show is also cooking another pair up between characters Elijah, Hayley, and Klaus.

Tonkin is particularly excited about her upcoming role in The Originals Season 2.  She told TV Line, "They've already fitted me for fangs.  I've always wanted to play a vampire, so I couldn't be more thrilled." 

Phoebe made her debut in The Vampire Diaries, which suggest that her character's major turnout could be the launching pad to an even more successful career.

As for Hayley, it is expected that she would be lost and tormented, but thanks to Elijah and Klaus, she does not have to face her hybridism alone. One of the two gentlemen will serve as her mentor. 

"It'll be interesting to see who she strikes up relationships with during this journey.  Maybe she and Klaus could form an unexpected friendship," Tonkin added.

Currently, The Originals is already past filming the third episode for the second season. 

The 24-year-old forewarned fans, "We're going to see a very broken, a very lost Hayley. She doesn't know who she is anymore. She not only doesn't know where she came from, she doesn't know who she is right now. It's sad and it's heartbreaking."
