'The Newsroom' Season 3 Premiere Date Coming November 2014: Premiere to Explore Boston Bombing & 'Wikileaks' [Trailer Video]

HBO has just confirmed that 'The Newsroom', penned by Aaron Sorkin, will return for a third season in less than a month's time. Precisely speaking, Season 3 will premiere on Nov. 9 via HBO.

At the same time, a new trailer for 'The Newsroom' Season 3 reveals that in the upcoming episodes, Sorkin will explore the Boston bombing in detail, which will be incorporated into the plot of the show.

In the trailer Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels) is heard saying "We don't do good TV. We do the news."

In fact, McAvoy makes a speech to his team regarding appropriate as well as credible sources who can offer reliable information on the Boston marathon bombing.

Spoilers reveal that Neal Sampat (Dev Patel) will be presented documents that are believed to be extremely risky vis-à-vis national security. Luckily enough, these documents are said to be "obtained legally."

However, in case the team decides to release the information, there is bound to be legal trouble. In fact, this will be similar to a 'Wikileaks' type of information dump, which will also be explored in 'The Newsroom' Season 3. As a result, Neal is heard saying in the trailer that "social media will crack the case."

In addition, the new season of 'The Newsroom' will also focus on Dan and Sloan's relationship, in addition to that of Reese and Leona. Also, viewers will see Mac firing a gun, but the repercussions have not been spoiled.

'The Newsroom' Season 3 will have a total of six episodes, which may not be enough to develop all of the side stories. However, Sorkin's genius has always proven to be good quality entertainment.
