'The Leftovers' Season 3 News: Lead Actor Justin Theroux Says About His Favorite Scene In The Series

The upcoming season of "Leftovers" will be filled with unexpected twists and turns. This was revealed by one of the series' lead stars, Justin Theroux.

In his interview with Inverse, Theroux talked about "Leftovers" season 3 and shared his favorite scene in the series.

He revealed that his favorite scene was with Ann Dowd in season 2, where his character pushed Dowd's character, Patti, into a well.

"From the moment that Kevin puts it together that Patti's that little girl in the hotel room and he walks to the well and he has to push her into it," he said. The actor revealed that he was surprised to know what's in store for Patti the first time he read the script. He teased that this kind of intense will happen in season 3.

"Crazy, crazy things happen. Like season 2, like season 1. I think Damon again was writing from a very strong place and it'll be its own thing--it's a big location change again," he said, adding that fans of the series will definitely be treated to a "very good final season."

In a separate interview, series creator Damon Lindelof revealed some of his plans in ending the series.

"We started with the very end. What do we want the last scene of the series to be, who's in that scene and what's happening in that scene, what do we want that scene to evoke emotionally?" he said in his interview with Deadline.

"The Leftovers" season 3 is set to premiere next year on HBO.
