'The Incredibles 2' Release Date, Spoilers: Grown-up Jack-Jack Goes Dark

Fans have been begging for a sequel to the family superhero movie "The Incredibles." So when "The Incredibles 2" was finally announced, fans were wild about seeing the awesome Parr family together again and have been eagerly expecting the film's release date.

But wait! Rumors are saying that the family may not really be together in the second movie because they might be missing the now 6-year-old boy Jack-Jack.

In "The Incredibles," baby Jack-Jack was thought to be the only Parr born normal. But when the rest of the Parrs were in grave danger, Jack-Jack's powers were unleashed.

It was revealed that the youngest Parr is capable of shapeshifting, floating, shooting lasers, become intangible, teleporting, and turning into fire, bulletproof steel, or even a small monster. In the next movie, Jack-Jack may be even fiercer.

Fan theorists predict that the young boy will soon realize that it takes extreme emotions for him to maximize his abilities. The little rebel may soon turn against his family to be a sidekick of a new villain.

According to the movie's official Facebook account, "The Incredibles 2" opens in United States theaters on June 1, 2019. Although it's clear that director Brad Bird and his team are already on the move, according to Christian Post.

As to why "The Incredibles 2" took so long to happen despite the successful first movie, here's what Bird has to say: "Pixar does not look at sequels as a financial plan. We feel we have a relationship with the audience and that they believe in each movie we put out."

Bird added, "We believe completely in every movie we put out. If I can come up with a story that is as good or better than that first film, then I'd love to return to that world, but it would to be story first."

Other reports claim that Bob and Helen may retire and leave the superhero legacy to Dash and Violet who may be up against their little brother, reports Crossmap.
