Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning singer-songwriter Ryan Stevenson is releasing his new full-length album No Matter What on April 6. The album features his latest single "Faithful (feat. Amy Grant)" the recent No. 1 hit song "The Gospel," and follows Stevenson's 2015 No. 1 breakthrough hit "Eye of the Storm" featured on the full-length album Fresh Start.

Speaking about the new album coming together, Stevenson says, "Over the course of the last several years, I've continued to ask the Lord to give me songs that exist for a reason. As we were working on this new record, a reoccurring theme I felt the Lord continually whisper to my heart was 'beloved identity.'"

"I, like many of us, grew up in the church- a religious environment, where we weren't necessarily nurtured and taught about God's grace, patience and compassion," Stevenson laments. "As I continue to grow and experience life, the truth I continue to encounter is 'I am His son, no matter what.'"

The new album, two years in the making, shows that Stevenson is not one to rush the songwriting process. No Matter What reflects the artist's life journey over the past couple of years, including making decisions to spend more time with family in the midst of a demanding touring schedule and moving to a new city; vital revelations of self and spirituality, persistent fears acknowledged, battled, overcome, and battled again.

"Each collection of songs is a different journey for me-I feel like I'm always experiencing different phases of growth and refining, which is what really helps me with the inspiration in the music," says Stevenson. "I definitely feel like I grew spiritually and emotionally during the making of this record, because I was truly leaning into the Lord, and asking the Holy Spirit to breathe into each aspect of it."

The former paramedic rose to prominence in 2013 co-writing TobyMac's hit song "Speak Life," which is also featured on Stevenson's label debut, his EP Holding Nothing Back. Throughout the year, Stevenson will be touring churches and other venues across the U.S.
