'The Flash' Season 2 Episode 8: Midseason Finale Features Star Wars' Mark Hamill

The midseason finale of "The Flash" will feature a lot of supervillains including The Trickster, played by Star Wars actor, Mark Hamill. We will also see the series debut of Wally West. Wally West is known to be "Kid Flash" and the third Flash in the comics so it is exciting to see what's in store for him in the television series.

The episode is entitled, "Running to Stand Still," and is aired on December 8 on The CW. For a further synopsis of the episode, here is how it is officially described:

"When Mark Mardon AKA The Weather Wizard (guest star Liam McIntyre) returns to break Leonard Snart AKA Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller) and James Jesse AKA The Trickster (guest star Mark Hamill) out of Iron Heights, Barry must stop these rogues from taking over Central City during Christmas. Meanwhile, Joe and Iris meet Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale)."

The CW recently released some photos for the next episode including stills like: Barry talking to a tearful Iris, the first appearance Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West and Leonard Snart, The Trickster and Mark Mardon together. (You could see them by clicking here.)

People should buckle up for a good episode and as well expect a possible cliffhanger in the end. The other half a the season would feature Tar Pit. According to comicbook.com, "Heroes Reborn" actor Marco Grazzini will be appearing in the series as Joey Montelone (AKA Tar Pit). In the comics, Tar Pit uses his powers to contain The Flash by shifting the ground beneath the Scarlet Speedster's feet, making it hard for him to use his speed.
