NETFLIX/ The Defenders"The Defenders" premieres on Netflix in 2017.

New photos from the set of "The Defenders" in New York reveal that Luke Cage and Claire Temple are moving their relationship forward.

In the photos, the two characters both look steamy in a make out scene.

Since filming for the upcoming mini-series started in New York, set photos from "The Defenders" have surfaced online, giving hints as to what fans can expect when it hits theaters next year.

The photo featuring Luke and Claire looks more spoiler-filled than the other photos, making it the talk of the town. In the photo, Luke is shown locking lips with Claire, pressing her against a fence while they are kissing.

In "Marvel's Luke Cage" on Netflix, the two seemed to have already started their relationship. However, the drama ended with Luke being taken back to a jail in Georgia. Before he was taken away, Claire kissed him. Just as fans of the series thought he would find a way out of there, the set photos from "The Defenders" confirm that he actually will, and that he and Claire will pick up right exactly where they left off.

It can be recalled that in "Jessica Jones," the two had a relationship but broke up towards the end of the season. In the 2017 miniseries, the two will have to put aside their feelings for each other as they work together with Daredevil and Iron Fist in saving their city.

It was previously reported that Sigourney Weaver will be the new villain in the series.

"The Defenders" premieres on Netflix in 2017.
