'The 100' Season 3 Episode 14 Review, Spoilers: Three Missions To Take Down ALIE Unfruitful?

The 14th episode of "The 100" season 3 saw an affray between Luna and the chipped soldiers of ALIE. The end of the episode saw Luna refuse to take the flame despite her victory, spelling trouble not just for Clarke and the gang but the entire humanity.

Titled "Red Sky Morning," the episode picked up where the 13th episode left off, with Clarke and the gang arriving at Luna's oil rig and many Sky People and Grounders being held captive in Polis.

At the oil rig, Luna was gritty to deny the flame and reject the Commander post. While Luna perfectly knew that she could easily win the conclave and seize the post, she simply did not want to. This became pretty evident when Clarke decided to shift to plan B, activating the AI and forcing it into the unflinching Luna.

Things took a downhill turn for Luna when she learned that ALIE had already wormed into her group. While Clarke, Octavia and Bellamy were packed into a shipping container, Luna was brutally tortured in front of Jasper and her boyfriend.

It turned out though, that Luna was tough enough to resist the torture. She escaped Derrick the torturer, saved a young girl and eventually killed Derrick. The episode showed Luna crying over the body of her loved one while the guilt-ridden Clarke watched.

Meanwhile, ALIE came face to face with Luna but Luna still chose to refuse the flame. Instead, she drugged Clarke and the gang, abandoned them and left the flame with them.

The episode also followed the two other failed missions to take down ALIE.

Murphy, Indra and Pike fled from prison but failed to dismantle Jaha's ALIE backpack, and Raven failed to activate the kill switch hidden by ALIE in the City of Light.

Meanwhile, Monty killed his mother again through Raven, who drafted a delete code for him. ALIE, on the other hand, is securely sheltered on the Ark.

"The 100" season 3 airs every Thursday on The CW.
