Terminator Genesis Release Date, Spoilers and Cast Rumors: Very Different Feel From Past Movies

The fifth installment of the hit 'Terminator' film series is scheduled for a release on July 1, 2015. After seven years, since its last film in 2007, the franchise is back offering quite a different feel from the usual 'Terminator' films. According to reports, the film will step in and out of the previous films' timelines.

The rumors are unconfirmed, but they say that the upcoming film entitled 'Terminator Genesis' will have shifts from the current film to the 1984 setting of 'The Terminator' to the 1991 film 'Terminator 2: The Judgement day'. The back tracks are reportedly about everything connected to the Connor family, all important and influential time periods that affect the family.

Reports have speculated that the scenes will literally show a scene from the first Terminator film where Arnold steps out and as soon as that scene ends, another Arnold Schwarzenegger who is older and bearded and a very different version of the Terminator walks in from the side and triggers another scene.

After a long period of speculation, the film has already established the official cast members starting with Arnold Schwarzenegger playing the iconic cyborg, Jai Courtney, will play Kyle Reese, Emilia Clarke, plays Sarah Connor, and Jason Clarke will be John Connor. New developments for the cast are rumored to include actors Miles Dyson and Courtney Vance.

The cast members show promise to uphold the standards of the popular movie franchise. What's more is Clarke's motion to take on the role Sarah Connor, helps her step away from being known only for her Daenerys Targaryen in 'The Game of Thrones'.

According to reports, this time, the film will not defy mortality. It will be different as Schwarzenegger says, "The way that the character is written, it's a machine underneath. It's this metal skeleton. But above that is human flesh. And the Terminator's flesh ages, just like any other human being's flesh. Maybe not as fast. But it definitely ages." he told MTV News.
