Surface Book 2 Release Date News, Rumors: New Device Set For October Or 2017 Release, Along With Surface Phone

New details on the release date of Microsoft's Surface Book 2 have been revealed.

The Surface Book 2 is expected to arrive in October; however, it is revealed that Microsoft's upcoming tech is set to come out in 2017, as per Christian Today. According to the publication, the reasons for the delay of the tech's release are the Intel Kaby Lake processor and the Windows 10 Redstone 2.

As per reports, Microsoft's Surface Book 2 is set to carry the said processor, which is expected to be available in 2017. The Country Caller revealed that the processor will let Microsoft boost its processing capabilities without high energy costs. It is further revealed that Intel's upcoming processor is set to come out with Microsoft's Surface phone, which is also set to have the forthcoming Microsoft OS.

Although Intel's Kaby Lake is set for a 2017 release, rumors revealed that Microsoft could still choose to release the upcoming tech earlier.

In line with Microsoft's upcoming product line, it is revealed that the tech giant is set to release a Windows 10 phone. In a statement, as cited by The Register, Microsoft Corporate Vice President Kevin Gallo said that Windows phone was fully supported and they were not behind and were not abandoning the phone.

Gallo added that there was really no change in what their direction or strategy was with respect to releasing the Windows Phone software.

For the time being, Microsoft is yet to confirm official details on the Surface Book 2 and the Surface Phone.
