In the previous episode, viewers learned about the story of Asa Fox, the boy that Mary Winchester had previously saved from a werewolf attack. The episode revealed that Asa was hanged to death, shocking Mary.

Meanwhile, Dam and Sam paid a visit to Jody, a sheriff and ally of the Winchesters, and discovered that she also knew Asa Fox. It was through Jody that they learned that Asa's close friend Bucky was the one who had killed him. In the scene that followed, Mary presented an offer to return to heaven but she scrupled.

There are speculations that in episode 7, Mary will finally accept Billie the Reaper's offer and bid goodbye to her sons to go back to heaven. The preview for the episode also reveals that Lucifer will be back to kill everyone by disguising as a rock star named Vince Vicente.

The synopsis by Cartermatt reads, "Lucifer realizes that as rock star Vince Vicente, he can get his fans to do whatever he wants. Thrilled with this power, Lucifer arranges to play a secret VIP concert in order to kill all of them. Sam, Dea and Castiel enter the underbelly of the music industry to try to stop him."
