'Supergirl' Season 2 Update: Supergirl Teams Up With Superman In New 'Supergirl' Trailer

After unveiling the first trailer and first clip for "Supergirl" season 2, The CW has released another trailer for the upcoming season.

The premiere episode of "Supergirl" season 2 is titled "The Adventures of Supergirl" and will see Supergirl team up with her superhero cousin, Superman.

"When a new threat emerges in National City, Kara/ Supergirl teams up with her cousin, Clark Kent/ Superman to stop it. Kara is thrilled to have family in town but it leaves Alex feeling a bit left out. Meanwhile, Hank and Supergirl are stunned by the pod that came crashing to Earth," reads the official synopsis for the season premiere.

Actor Tyler Hoechlin is set to join the cast of the upcoming season as Supergirl's cousin, Superman. Melissa Benoist, who plays supergirl, leads the cast of the series as the title character, alongside Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Chyler Leigh as Alexandra Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow Schott, Jenna Dewan Tatum as Lucy Lane, David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, and Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord.

Meanwhile, the plot synopsis for season 2, episode 2 reveals that kryptonite-powered for Metallo will be in town and will cause serious damage to Kara, so Superman will go on the rampage to look for answers. He will blame Hank for the incident because the kryptonite was stolen from the DEO.

"Supergirl" airs every Monday, 8:00 P.M. on The CW. Season 2 is set to premiere on October 10.
