Super Hero Funeral: A Young Boy's Love for Spider-Man Prompts His Mom to Honor His Life by Ditching Traditional Ceremonial Attire (VIDEO)

5-year-old Brayden Denton got a funeral service fit for a super hero. Brayden loved super heroes and when he lost his battle to cancer his mother decided to do something a little different in his memory.

After a 13-month battle with a cancerous brain tumor Brayden lost his battle to cancer. The New York Daily News reported that Brayden had an aggressive brain cancer known as DIPG, which is terminal for 100% of patients. The young boy bravely underwent high doses of steroids and 30 rounds of radiation.

His love for super heroes lead the Make-A-Wish foundation to grant him the opportunity to meet with his favorite super hero, Spider-Man, at Florida's Universal Studios and before he passed, the young boy got to see the beginning and end of the new Spider-Man movie.

Brayden's mother, Staci Denton, told WLFI News 18 that while planning his funeral she felt her son would not care about people dressed in suits and ties, so instead Staci decided on a funeral including her son's love of superheroes.

The mom herself wore a Spider-Man t-shirt to the service and Brayden's uncle, Cory Denton, dressed as Thor. "It was hard, but I did it for him," his Uncle Cory said. "We went to the Superman movie with him and he was dressed up as Superman. I watched all the Ironmans with him."

Brayden's mother donated his tumor to researchers.
