StowTown Records Signs Two New Christian Artists

StowTown Records

StowTown Records recently signed two new Christian artists as they branch out into the CCM marketplace.

Multi-Dove Awards winner and Grammy Awards nominee, Jody McBrayer will release his first album for StowTown record company. The 45-year-old McBrayer was a former member of the Christian pop group, "Avalon." He recorded and toured with the pop group before retiring due to a heart disease called hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. Since then, he had only released one album way back in 2002 entitled, "This is Who I am."

The new project, "Keep Breathing," will be released in February 12, 2016.

Charles Billingsley will have a new record coming out in March of 2016. The new record is produced by Seth Mosley.

Ernie Haase and Wayne Haun started StowTown Records back in 2011. They got the idea of starting a record company from a vision of George Younce, Haase's father-in-law. According to Gospel Music, he envisioned a record company and recording studio near Stow, Ohio, which could become a sanctuary of artists when it comes to creative freedom.

What separates this company from the rest is that it's managed by an artist and also a producer. Haase and Haun know by heart the day in the life of a Christian song artist; from song composition, to recording, to finally knowing how to draw their market to by the album.

Because of their knowledge in the industry, the company's goal is to provide a variety of music styles and genres within Christian music and make it go the extra mile in spreading the message of Christ to the listeners everywhere.

In 2014, "StowTown Records" added an administrative team through Landon Beene and Nate Goble, its new co-owners; thus becaming a full service label.
