Along with Yellow Diamond's arrival and Malachite's return in "Steven Universe" season 3, it is revealed that Steven is set to uncover more of his powers and Rose Quartz past will be explored.

According to Inverse, "Steven Universe" season 3 will see Steven inherit additional abilities from Rose Quartz, thus, expanding his skills set. As per the publication, the titular character is set to gain the ability to heal and create barriers; however, such abilities require a non-conventional tool, his saliva.

More on Rose Quartz's origins are set to be explored in "Steven Universe" season 3. According to Parent Herald, the timeline is going to transport fans back to a point in time thousands of years ago, allowing them to see the primary reason behind Rose Quartz's thoughts and decision to switch sides.

As per the publication, the character may also have the communication ability via dreams, since Steven also possesses the same power when he communicates with Lapis Lazuli.

Along with Steven's new powers and Rose Quartz's past, fans are also set to see Yellow Diamond and Malachite in "Steven Universe" season 3. According to Hof Mag, Steven, Peridot, and Lapis Lazuli are set to face the villain, who reportedly sent the probe to follow the trio. As per the publication, the supervillain is eager to do things in her power to end Peridot's life.

As for Malachite, the character is said to return to the series as Jasper and Lapis Lazuli's fusion. Along with being a blend of two characters, Malachite is revealed to feel enjoyment with her powers and liberty, as well as her own personality.

"Steven Universe" season 3 is set to air in June this year on Cartoon Network.
