'Star Wars: Episode VIII' Cast, Plot Rumors: Sequel Features Darth Vader; Luke Skywalker Turns To Bad

In line with Rian Johnson's upcoming "Star Wars: Episode VIII," it has been revealed that Hayden Christensen is set to return in the film while Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker is rumored to be bad. Also, Daisy Ridley talks about John Boyega's Finn in the upcoming eighth film installment of the space sci-fi saga.

Christenten, who played the role of Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader in previous "Star Wars" film installments, is rumored to appear in Johnson's forthcoming "Star Wars: Episode VIII," according to Inquisitor. However, Disney and Johnson had not given any statement on whether fans would see the actor reprise his role as the iconic "Star Wars" villain in the upcoming film or nor.

Twitter user Juls (@JawaJuls) tweeted on Mar. 17 that Christensen had been supposed to be in J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens," along with a photo of what the actor could have looked like as Vader in the recent film.

According to rumors, "Star Wars: Episode VIII's" subtitle will be "Tale of the Jedi temple," and it is set to feature General Leia, who is going to be severely injured. Speculations from fans also suggested that Kylo Ren is involved in the incident.

In other news, Luke is rumored to be a bad guy in "Star Wars: Episode VIII," since he set to be seen walking around the casino as if he is looking for someone, according to Making Star Wars. As per the publication, the person the Jedi is looking for remains unclear for the time being and with the casino as one of the story settings, it is assumed that the film is set to feature aliens and evil creatures. This leads to the speculation that Luke is now a bad boy in the film installment.

Meanwhile, it is assumed that Boyega's Finn is "Force sensitive" in Johnson's upcoming film sequel, according to Ridley. In her interview with Entertainment Tonight (via Movie Pilot), Ridley, who played the scavenger Rey in Abrams' "The Force Awakens," said that Finn had wielded the lightsaber, which led her to believe that the former Stormtrooper was Force sensitive. Thus, it is assumed that the next film could see Finn enhance such ability.

"We've all got that Force within us," Ridley added.

Johnson's "Star Wars: Episode VIII" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on Dec. 15, 2017.
