Star Wars Episode 7 Movie Plot Rumors: Han Solo Killed in Upcoming Film?

Rumor has it that Harrison Ford's legendary Han Solo character may die in the upcoming Lucasfilm blockbuster Star Wars Episode VII.

Ford himself considered this fate for his role years ago in a documented interview, "I thought Han Solo should die. I thought he ought to sacrifice himself for [Luke and Leia]. He's got no mama. He's got no papa. He's got no future. He has no story responsibilities at this point. So let's allow him to commit self-sacrifice," said Ford in the Empire of Dreams documentary in 2004.

As of now, Ford remains in recovery for a broken leg injury which occured while shooting on the set of the film. Ford's spokesperson Ina Treciokas confirmed the severity of her client's recent injury,  "Harrison Ford's left leg was broken in an accident," said Treciokas to CNN in a declaration, "His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly. He's doing well and looks forward to returning to work."

In other Star Wars news, it appears that young actors Daisy Ridley and John Boyega will play potential love interests in the film. Boyega's character (rumored to be named "Thomas") will become a Jedi after Ridley's character "Rachel" (also rumored to possibly to play as Han and Leia's daughter) saves him after his spacecraft crashes on Luke's home planet Tatooine, according to the Making Star Wars website.

The website also claims that Thomas' friendship with Daisy will cause the young man switch sides and fight on Luke Skywalker's side.

According to multiple reports, Carrie Fisher's (Princess Leia) real life daughter Billie Lourd is rumored to make her film debut by appearing in the latest installment of the popular sci-fi film series created by George Lucas nearly 40 years ago. Movie director J.J. Abrams (or anyone involved with the film) has not confirmed the rumor surrounding Fisher's daughter.

Star Wars Episode 7 is set to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2015.
