'Star Wars Episode 7' Movie Cast News, Plot Rumors: Actor Billy Dee Williams Talks Lando Calrissian's Return?

In latest 'Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens' movie news, legendary actor Billy Dee Williams addressed the rumors linking him to a possible return in the upcoming film, where he would reprise his role as Lando Calrissian in the next chapter of the popular sci-fi franchise.

"I have a feeling I'm going to show up. There's nothing I can really discuss about it at this stage. People think of me as the original cast, but I didn't come in until the second movie. I did Empire and then I did Return of the Jedi, but I came in after everyone else was introduced...So I think they're probably proceeding in that way. I can't imagine them not bringing Lando back," said Williams in a recent interview with Cinelinx.

Willams recently reprised his role as the most memorable characters in 'Star Wars' history, when the longtime actor lent his voice in the brand new Disney animated series 'Star Wars Rebels'.

"Well, you know, the writers, producers, and directors put that whole thing together in a really fun and interesting way," said Williams.

"You know, Star Wars has been around for several years now, and I think, in my opinion, this gives Lando a certain kind of credence that he really deserves. For years there's been these books about Lando and his adventures. So this is great that we can actually see [a younger] Lando in some of his adventures."

The 77-year-old New York City native reflected on the lasting legacy of the entertainment business highlighted by starring in other cinema classics such as 'Batman,' 'Brian's Song' and 'Lady Sings the Blues', to name a few.

"Most movies I've done, I've managed to make all the characters I've done indelible. I've managed to make them bigger than life and I'm able to give them a presence that people don't forget," said Williams.

"Which means I'm a pretty damn good actor!"

'Star Wars Episode 7' features the return of Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia Organa), and Harrison Ford as the iconic space cowboy Han Solo in the upcoming film.

'Star Wars Episode VII' will make its long awaited return to the big screen on December 18 2015.
