Along with the first look at Sofia Boutella from Justin Lin's forthcoming "Star Trek Beyond."Simon Pegg has revealed what fans can expect from the space sci-fi film.

Pegg is set to play the role of Scotty in Pegg's "Star Trek Beyond." In his interview with Empire, the actor revealed that fans are set to see the Enterprise crew prepared to temporarily halt from their seemingly endless travel. He said that they had come at rest at a Federation outpost, which was a kind of diplomatic hub. 

In the same interview, the actor also revealed that the characters were gathering a great community within the cosmos, but the prime reason and significance it had are yet to be revealed.

In other news, "Kingsman" actress Boutella is set to play Jaylah in Lin's "Star Trek Beyond," and she is going to be the focus in the upcoming issue of Empire Magazine. As per the publication, the character is set to utilize a "heavy weaponry," which is not meant to "stun." Based on Jaylah's photo shared by the publication, it is assumed that the character is someone who is skillful when it comes to handling and using weapons, thus, she is also skilled in the battlefield.

Aside from Pegg and Boutella, "Star Trek Beyond" also stars Melissa Roxburgh, Deep Roy, John Cho, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Zachary Quinto, Anton Yelchin, Karl Urban, Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, and Idris Elba, among others.

With Lin at the helm of the film, Pegg is also on board to pen the screenplay, along with Patrick McKay, John Payne, Roberto Orci, and Doug Jung.

Lin's "Star Trek Beyond" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on July 22. Watch the trailer here.
