'Stalker' Premiere Date, Spoilers, CBS Start Time: Watch New Crime Drama Every Wednesday From Oct. 1

'Stalker', the new detective drama series set in Los Angeles, will premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 10 pm on CBS. The storyline of this series revolves around detectives who investigate stalking incidents - including voyeurism, cyber harassment and romantic fixation - for the Threat Assessment Unit of the LAPD.

The new series stars Maggie Q and Dylan McDermott, and has a tone similar to that of the other crime dramas on the network. Also, the inclusion of Kevin Williamson, who wrote 'Scream', onto the production team will definitely give the show an eerie feeling.

Recently, CBS released an official synopsis of 'Stalker', which reads: "LAPD's Threat Assessment Unit's Lt. Beth Davis (Maggie Q) and Det. Jack Larsen (Dylan McDermott) search for a stalker with an affinity for fire. Also, Beth meets with an exasperated college student who claims his former roommate is aggressively harassing him."

The promo of the first episode of the show depicts that Torrey DeVitto will play the role of the victim of the pyromaniac stalker. Meanwhile, Daren Kagasoff and Erik Stocklin will portray the character's two ex-roommates. Stocklin's character will pay special attention to Beth when the police officer pursues after him.

Then again, AnnaLynne McCord has confirmed that she will appear as a guest star in an episode of 'Stalker'. She said that she's going to portray the character of Nina Preston, a television star seeking the help of the detectives following a threat to her life from an obsessed fan.

From the snippets of the episodes it appears that the drama will deal with a new case every week. These cases will obviously lean toward situations where the victims suffer or encounter stalkers.

Man viewers are thrilled over the pairing, and are wondering whether or not Maggie and Dylan's characters will be an item. Nevertheless, writer Kevin Williamson has revealed that Beth and Jack's relationship will be a battle of the sexes. Still, fans can always speculate about a blossoming relationship on the horizon, as the series progresses.

The premiere episode of 'Stalker' will also star Victor Rasuk as Detective Ben Caldwell, Mariana Klaveno as Detective Janice Lawrence, and Elisabeth Röhm as Deputy DA Amanda Tate.
