Christian rock band Skillet affectionately calls theirs fans Panheads, and these lovers of the band's music have made them top four finalists in a Billboard Fan Army tournament.

Billboard chose 32 bands or artists who they felt had the strongest army of fans, and so Skillet's Panheads have shown up. To get into the finals, the Panheads overtook One Direction, Iggy Azalea, and Adam Lambert.

"Now the world finally knows what we in Skillet have known all along," said lead singer John Cooper in a press release, "and that is that the Panheads are the best fans in the world! Their commitment to make their mark and win this thing has been relentless. It's been amazing to watch them rock!"

Skillet has also been busy working on a tour schedule for the Fall, and just announced the dates, which will all be in Europe.

Prior to their Fall tour, the band will be with Godsmack, Seether, and Buckcherry on the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival beginning August 15.

Also, Skillet drummer Jen Ledger was named in the eight greatest drumming performances at the Download Festival in the United Kingdom out of about 100 bands by Musicradar.com.

"A short but awesome set witnessed Jen's Dave Grohl-esque power behind the kit, particularly impressive as she sings a lot too - with no let up in her whole-body drumming style," Musicradar.com said of the performance, "We were particularly blown away by the even double-kick and flashes of tasty technique on display as the band played their hits "Hero' and "Monster' and tracks from new album RISE."
