"I have a passion for writing songs that reach people right where they are," Pruett says. "More so, perhaps, than any other medium, words from song lyrics can stick with a person for the rest of his or her life."

"My hope for the lyrics I write is that they will draw people closer to God, uplift them, help them get through tough times, or bring peace and joy to their soul by praising God," the Arizona-based artist continues. "Speaking with John from Nashville Christian Songwriters (NCS) was encouraging and inspiring. I love his heart for Jesus and how he wants to help Christian songwriters grow both spiritually and professionally. We can all continue to learn from each other, and NCS is a great tool and place to meet other songwriters and gain new knowledge."

"Jesse Pruett came on the podcast as an interviewee and left it as a great new friend," says John Chisum, Founder and Managing Partner of NCS. "This guy isn't just immensely gifted as a songwriter, actor, and worship leader; he's an authentic Jesus follower we will be watching closely for years to come as he mines the depths of the talents and opportunities God has given him. Can't wait to have him on the show again!"

Pruett is currently touring in support of his latest album The Journey. For the latest news about Jesse Pruett, stay tuned to BREATHEcast and visit his official website.
