Singer-songwriter Brian Campbell on Friday independently released his brand-new full-length worship album, Born Again, via Abandon Music Recordings. The new 14-track album features a worshipful experience with songs such as the soul-searching "Our Refuge And Strength," and the upbeat, anthemic title track, "Born Again."
Campbell says Born Again took over three years to complete, and during the final stages he requested help from fans to help make the release possible via a successful fundraising campaign on crowdfunding website Pledge Music.
"There's been a really great response to the new album as I've shared a bit about it through Facebook," Campbell said at the time. "In 2014, we released an EP called The One Worth It All, which was a collection of worship songs we had been touring through worship gatherings around the world."
"We were looking to release three EPs that year, including a French EP for some of our dear friends in Europe, and a second English EP called Born Again," he explained. "We're wrapping up production on the French EP and releasing it this year and that final EP actually morphed into a full-length worship album," Campbell said, referring to Friday's release of Born Again.
Aside from his studio projects, Campbell is also a worship pastor at his church in Akron, Ohio, and says he is a missionary at heart, having led many events in both Eastern and Western Europe, as well as around the U.S.
