Shia LaBeouf is set to join the World War II war movie 'Fury', which has Brad Pitt signed on as the lead role.
The Hollywood Reporter (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/shia-labeouf-talks-join-brad-444685) first announced the story, stating that Shia would be playing one of the five members of an American war group.
The official synopsis of Fury states, "A crew of Americans in Nazi Germany toward the end of World War II embark on a brave mission." Fury is set in the waning days of World War II's European theater and revolves around the five-man crew of an American tank named Fury that runs across a desperate German division. Pitt is playing a battle-hardened sergeant named Wardaddy.
The film is definitely aiming for an awards run and Sony has set a Nov. 14, 2014 for the release date. With the talent so far of the cast and crew as well as the subject matter at hand, it's hard to see how it wouldn't be involved in the awards talk.
