Scandal Season 3 Spoilers, Rumors: Finale Episode 18 Synopsis Video Leaked (Preview)

ABC hit drama series "Scandal" will air its Season 3 finale on Thursday, April 7 at 10 p.m. ET. The show stars Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope. Washington's character Pope was an ex-White House Communications Director for the U.S. President.

Olivia left her job at the White House to create her own management firm that deals with political scandals. Her firm is called Olivia Pope & Associates in the critically acclaimed political drama series.

In Season 3 episode 17 "Flesh and Blood" that aired last night, Olivia prevented her terrorist mother Maya Lewis (played by actress Khandi Alexander) from blowing up a high school that US President Fitzgerald Grant III was doing a public speech.

However, after she stopped her mom from destroying the school, Olivia realized that her mom tricked her. Olivia discovered the hard way that her mother's [Maya Lewis] actual target was Olivia's dad Rowan "Eli" Pope (played by Joe Morton of "The Brother from Another Planet," "Eureka" and "The Good Wife" fame).  Olivia found her father bleeding to death as the target of her mother's devious plan.

In addition, it was revealed that video cameras showed that Olivia's mom killing Senator Hightower and secretly putting a bomb in the funeral. The last episode of "Scandal" setting will be Election Day. The name of the Season 3 Finale episode is "The Price of Free and Fair Election."

"Nothing is off limits as the candidates try to capture votes," according to the outline of the Season 3 Finale episode that will air on ABC next week. "But if episode 17 took place a few days before the election and Maya triggered the bomb, does that mean that the season finale will time jump?"

"Scandal" looks to go out with a bang when the ABC hit drama broadcasts its Season 3 finale on Thursday, April 7 at 10pm ET.
