'Scandal' Season 3 Finale Air Time: Spoilers Reveal Episode 'Gets Crazier and Crazier'

Tonight marks the end of season three of ABC's hit drama "Scandal." With so many cliffhangers in the air, many are wondering how the season could be wrapped up with just one episode remaining. For spoilers from Kerry Washington herself, read on.

Kerry Washington, who plays leader Oliva Pope on the show, recently sat down for an interview with The Hollywood Reporter where she discussed what will happen in tonight's finale.

The finale has a lot to deal with, there is currently a bomb threatening Fitz and other major White House players. Cyrus knows about the bomb, will he tell Fitz? Will he ask Olivia for help? According to Washington we will find out tonight.

"Those questions will definitely get answered in the episode, for sure. The finale features the final day of the election," the actress said.

She then went on to explain that the bomb is not the central plot point of the finale.

"We'll deal with that incident and move forward," she told The Hollywood reporter.

Washington did promise that the finale will be surprising. She said that even the cast and staff were shocked upon reading the finale script.

"One of the craziest things about this season's finale is that you'd think at this point it would be impossible to shock us as a cast anymore, but we were floored after this table read. It gets crazier and crazier in the most wonderful way," she said.

Another cliffhanger waiting to be answered is how Olivia will deal with her parents, particularly her father Rowan who could die at any moment. According to Washington, this will be addressed in the finale.

"You will learn a lot about Olivia by the way in which she interacts with her parents and their mortality in this episode," Washington said.

The season three finale will air tonight, Thursday April 17, at 10/9c on ABC.
