Samsung Gear VR Price, Latest News, Rumors: More Games, Apps Added To Oculus Store

New games and apps have been added to the Oculus shelves for Samsung VR Gear since its launch in November last year, according to the latest news on the Interwebs.

Gizmag listed the latest titles that users of Samsung VR Gear can purchase and download.

There's the "AltspaceVR" which allows users to play chess, watch a performance or go into shooting mode.

Another is the "Escape Velocity," which gives a sensory experience for users who find themselves being the astronaut who is going on a space mission when things go horribly wrong.

"Cityscape Repairman" is another game added to the Samsung Gear VR where you play a repair man who must solve the puzzle before going to another room.

For a good adrenaline rush, Samsung Gear VR can also download the survival game, "Deadhead VR," where they will find themselves in the middle of a dark forest as monsters and zombies try to bite their head off.

Selling at just $99, the Samsung Gear VR is the cheapest entry level device in the market in terms of price. For comparison, the high-end Oculus Rift sells starting at $599 and HTC Vive at $799 while the PlayStation VR is expected to fetch a price of between $300 to $500.

Dubbed as one of the most "consumer-friendly headset" in the market, Samsung Gear VR is reportedly an immersive experience for the user, said the news report from Wareable.

"Powered by Oculus on a Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ or Galaxy Note 5, with not one but two app stores, you can transport yourself to 3D, CG animated worlds and 180 or 360-degree live action scenes," the site said.

Samsung Gear VR can download more games at the Oculus Store. Just watch out for the latest news updates on the apps and titles for the device.
