In the market for mid-sized tablets, there are a lot of brand names to choose from, The Apple iPad mini and the Samsung Galaxy Tab are just two examples of leading tablets. Google also has the Nexus 7 which technically classifies as a mid-sized tablet due to its size.

The Galaxy Tab Pro comes equipped with an LCD display measuring 10.1 inches. It sports a 2560 x 1600 resolution screen with a pixel ration of 299 pixels-per-inch (or ppi). When it comes to pricing, the Google tablet is cheaper coming in at around $200 while the Galaxy Tab is roughly $400.

Hardware-wise, the Galaxy Tab sports two processor options; a Cortex A7 processor and a Cortex A15 processor. It supports 2GB of RAM and two variants of internal storage, 16GB and 32GB. With the Nexus 7, the processor is a Krait paired with a Snapdragon S4 Pro chip from Qualcomm.

Regarding RAM and internal storage, the Nexus 7 is the same as the Galaxy Tab with a 2GB RAM as well as 16GB and 32GB storage options.

Spec-wise, it would be best to go with the Galaxy Tab for a faster tablet. but The Samsung Tab is twice as expensive as the Nexus 7.

The choice is ultimately up to what the consumer needs and what he or she can afford.
