Samsung Galaxy Note 8 News, Specs, Price: Release Date Scheduled For February 2017's Mobile World Congress

The release date for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will reportedly be in February 2017 during the Mobile World Congress. There's no official word on the specs and price yet, however, the South Korean company really needs some good news right now following the exploding battery fiasco on its Note 7.

According to KnowYourMobile, based on a tip from Twitter user @ricciolo1, who has developed quite a reputation for hits correct predictions, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 release date will be announced in Barcelona, Spain during the MWC event.

The alleged announcement will reportedly happen at 7pm local time on Feb. 26.

Just last month, SamMobile reported two versions of the Samsung Galaxy S8 already have their own model numbers, the SM-G950 and SMG955. This could point to the news and rumors that the new flagship will still have the Edge screen and the flat screen.

The South Korean company previously said that it will dedicate its resources to developing Edge technology, which would be the staple model for its future high-end phones.

In terms of specs, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will reportedly feature the Exynos 8995 processor mated to the Mali-G71 GPU, which utilizes the new Bifrost architecture that would prepare the gadget for 4K and VR applications. If the news and rumors are true, the Mali-G71 GPU nearly doubles the amount of computing speed as its predecessor. The 8995, meanwhile, is based on the 10nm chip.

Again, it's worth noting that the South Korean firm has not confirmed any of the reports out there in terms of the specs, price and release date on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
