Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Release Date, Specs, Price Rumors: New Phablet To Beat Apple iPhone 7?

With the release date for the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 drawing near, the rumors on the specs and price are only getting louder.

According to IB Times, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 specs are expected to beat the iPhone 7.

"The Note 6 will be launched in two CPU editions, one featuring a Exynos 8890 chipset and the other one powered by Snapdragon 820 chip," it said.

As for the display specs, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will feature a slim RGB matrix AMOLED screen, which users of Galaxy S II are familiar with. The display also boasts of 2560x1440 pixel Quad HD resolution.

Mobi Picker, meanwhile, shared rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 featuring 6 GB of RAM. However, it noted that the initial reports came from China so the authenticity might seem suspect.

GalaxyNote website also reported initial reports of the camera specs for the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 which will reportedly feature 32 megapixels and 9-megapixel front snapper. The South Korean company also didn't scrip on the battery this time as the device will boast of a 4200 mAh of power.

As for the price, the report claimed that it will cost somewhere between $750 to $850 dollars, which would be quite pricey although less than the basic iPhone 7 which is expected to cost around $875 for the 16GB model and over $1,100 for the 128GB model.

Initial rumors suggested that the release date for the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be in August prior to the IFA 2016 in Berlin, which allows the South Korean company to jump the gun on the launch of iPhone 7 in September this year.
