‘Rookie Blue’ Renewed for Season 6: 11 New Episodes to Have Premiere Date March 2015

'Rookie Blue' ended its fifth season with a major cliffhanger amongst all the compromised relationships on the show as fans are looking forward to finding out what happens when the series returns on March 2015 for 11 episodes.

However, the aforementioned release date will be strictly for Canadians, the US can expect to see a later Season 6 premiere date. Sources speculate that 'Rookie Blue' Season 6 will air in the United States sometime in May, June, or July of next year. The show first aired back in 2010, and now after a confirmed Season 6, many believe that this installment will be the last in the series.

On the other hand, Executive Producer Tassie Cameron feels otherwise as she thinks that there's still hope for more, "...there are a lot of things to consider. There are the actors and there are contracts... I don't know. I think it's still up in the air. It's a conversation we'll be having in the next couple of weeks," she said.

The show left its fans with two-hour-long finale episodes entitled, "Fragment" and "Everlasting."

Fans can recall that Duncan was hoping to reconcile with Andy McNally after being put back on duty, but this only caused more strife in the relationship. After that, Duncan goes rogue and encounters a car bomber, which puts his life in danger and forces Andy and Nick to beat the clock to save him.

As the show closed the season, the car bomber is still at large, and an explosion near Andy is ominously foreshadowed.
