'Rocket League' News: Update 1.22 Features Rumble Mode, Power-Ups, Party Chat And Car Presets

New details on Psyonix's latest "Rocker League" update have surfaced, and they include the Rumble Mode and other notable features.

With "Rocket League's" 1.22 update, the Rumble Mode aims to change the face of the gameplay, as per News Everyday. According to the website, the game update is set to feature eleven power-ups, which opens the gate for new strategies in-game.

As per the report, power-ups are available to destroy opponents and they include Disruptor, which leaves opponents with no choice but to move involuntarily; Boot, which kicks an opponent's car; and Swapper, which lets players change position against other cars.

Power-ups can be used against the ball, such as Haymayker, which punches the ball; Freezer, which stops the ball in place; Plunger, which snaps the ball to the player's position; Magnetizer, which lures the ball towards the car; Spike, which leaves the ball in place upon contact with the car; and Grappling Hook, which pulls the car towards the ball.

Other in-game power-ups include Tornado, which brings the cars and ball into a funnel cloud and the Power Hitter, which boosts the impact of the car's bumps.

"Rocket League" also showcases various features like Party Chat, Car Preset, and Crates and Keys. As per Tech Times, Party chat lets players send messages to all members of the party. Players can access the feature in-game or while in the game menus. The messages will be sent to all party members, whether they are in the game or not.

The Car Preset feature provides players up to ten slots for saving car loadout configurations and allows players to keep their vehicle customizations, such as equip to orange and equip to blue. With regards to colors, the game update also features an expanded primary color palette, along with randomize button for players to check preset looks.

Meanwhile, the Crates and Keys system involves random receipts of Crates following the competitive matches. These contain unique Garage items such as animated decals, battle cars, and exotic wheels. Players have to purchase Keys to open the Crates. They cost $1.49 each or $5 for five, $10 for 10 keys, and $20 for 20 keys.

The update is now available for "Rocket League" on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Linux.
