New singer-songwriter Robyn Christian on Tuesday independently released her debut single, "Dance It Out." The upbeat new song, highlighted by a strong guitar rhythm, is a cut from her upcoming debut EP, Smile, releasing independently on Sept. 21 and available for pre-order now at iTunes and Amazon.com.
"My prayer is that my music and I are a light to everyone I come in contact with," she says. "Ecclesiastes [chapter] 3 [verse] 11 says that He has made all things beautiful in His time!"
"That truth gives me confidence that I am a child of God and I don't have to worry about anything," Robyn explains. "That's the message I want listeners to hear through my songs."
Working on the new single and her upcoming EP, she enlisted the help of veteran producer Sean Hill at Atlanta's Uphill Studios. Together, Robyn, Sean and Crystal Hill wrote "Dance It Out."
Influenced by some of the most prolific pop singers in the last two decades, Robyn says she took the first steps on her musical journey as a young girl. Her parents enrolled her in a fine arts elementary school with a focus on performing.
Today, her resume includes an impressive list of accomplishment, including singing the National Anthem at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston, Mass. Her song "Out of This World" was named Best Song in the New Mexico Music Awards, and the song "Spirit Moves," was nominated for Best Music Video.
"God put a song in my heart a long time ago and now I get to watch my career blossom as I do it for Him," Robyn says.
"Dance It Out" available to listen to at Robyn's website now, and is also going for adds to Christian AC and Christian CHR/Hot AC-formatted radio outlets today.
