'Rizzoli & Isles' Season 7 Episode 9 Spoilers: Jane Challenged To Resolve Murder Trial Case

Jane and Maura faced a new set of challenges in episode 9 of "Rizzoli & Isles" season 7 as Jane got involved in a murder trial case with a missing piece of evidence.

In episode 8, Jane tried to solve a double murder case involving two bikers from the Lords of Thunder gang by going undercover in a jail. She conducted a sting operation as she sought to arrest the suspect.

Titled "65 Hours," episode 9 followed Jane as she involved herself in a murder case where a piece of valuable evidence was stolen. Vince Korsak told her that the key evidence to convict the killer was already destroyed, so there was no use for Jane to appear in court to testify.

Maura also explained that it would be impossible for them to prove something in court if they fail to retrieve the stolen piece of evidence. As Jane realized that she could no longer prove the motive without the murder weapon, she had to accept the possibility that the case might be dismissed.

The side plot of the episode featured a bit of romance focusing on Frankie and Nina, as Jane's brother tried to impress Nina with magic. This was after he learned that Nina was actually into magic.

After episode 9, five more episodes are left before the popular American crime and police procedural drama series airs its season finale. Following the directorial debut of Harmon, Alexander is set to helm the 11th episode of the series, titled "For Richer or Poorer," which airs on August 15 on TNT.
