'Rise Of The Tomb Raider' PS4 Release Date News: 20th Anniversary Celebration To Bring Zombies?

In line with the 20th Anniversary Celebration of Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal's "Rise of the Tomb Raider," new details on the gameplay have surfaced and as per reports, the title is set to include zombie elements.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider's" new gameplay for PlayStation 4 is called "Lara's Nightmare," Game Rant has learned. As per the publication, the said gameplay is set to be in a zombie horde style, similar to games like "Left 4 Dead" and "The Walking Dead."

It is further revealed that "Lara's Nightmare" is set to come with co-op gaming mode called "Endurance" and the new single player mode called "Blood Ties," which concentrates in the narrative aspect of the game story.

According to the publication, "Rise of the Tomb Raider's" release on the PlayStation 4 was delayed, as Square Enix opted to make the game exclusive for the Xbox One; it is in line with Microsoft's console release in Nov. 10, 2015.

As an added bonus, it is assumed that the studios will include "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition," as compensation for the title's postponement, which garnered a lot of negative feedbacks, as per Parent Herald. In addition, this warms up players' funds in preparation for the title's released on the PlayStation 4 in the last quarter of 2016.

Developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Microsoft Studio and Square Enix, the title follows Lara Croft in a Siberian adventure as she searches for the legendary metropolis of Kitzh. It blends both combat and survival elements against a paramilitary group that wants to send her to a promise of immortality.

Currently playable on the Xbox One and Microsoft Windows, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" is set to be released on the PlayStation 4 on Oct. 11.
